Environmental Stewardship
Uplands is recognized as a ‘Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary’. To achieve this certification, a golf course must demonstrate a high degree of environmental stewardship and we continue be a leader in this field.
Known for its tree-lined fairways, Uplands has produced a tree management system that has revolutionized the way we monitor our 2,000 plus trees. (We are the only course in Canada where each tree is tagged, geo-referenced and given its own management plan).
A birds' nest box initiative has been very successful, contributing to a rich diversity of nearly 100 bird species that enhance our member and guest experience.
